I’m so excited to bring my ideas to life and create a space built around creativity, quality and sustainability. I’ll be starting with a selection of practical pieces such as bags, laptop cases, wash bags, laptop mats and baskets, with plans to introduce clothing, jackets, coats, shirts and skirts further down the line.

For now, I’m starting with alterations and repairs. Whether it’s a simple adjustment, a favourite garment that needs some attention, or an old piece of clothing or fabric you’d like to give a new purpose, I’m here to help. My focus is on making, repairing and repurposing wherever possible, helping you get more use out of the things you already have.

Kat-uh-ree

With five years of experience developing my skills through education, creative projects and hands-on making. I’ve always enjoyed looking at existing garments and materials differently — finding ways to transform, repair and repurpose them into something new, rather than allowing them to go to waste. I’m a creative thinker who loves experimenting with textiles, exploring new ideas and finding practical, more sustainable approaches to fashion.

The Story Behind Kateri -

The name Kateri comes from my Confirmation name, inspired by St Kateri Tekakwitha, a Catholic saint known for her deep connection with nature and her simple way of life. Her love and respect for the natural world resonated with me and reflects my own passion for creating a more sustainable approach to fashion.

This is something I want to carry through into my business. Wherever possible, I aim to work with discarded fabrics, deadstock materials and clients’ existing garments, while also reusing fastenings and components from other clothing, keeping waste to a minimum. Through Kateri, I hope to show that fashion can be creative, personal and practical while making more thoughtful choices about what we already have — even if the difference starts small.
